EA's John Riccitello is pondering the possibility of charging for micro-transactions in their upcoming sandbox game, Spore. According to his statements during an investor briefing, he alluded to selling packs of parts to use on your creatures, vehicles, etc in the game for real-world dollars, but was cautious in saying he wanted to make sure the base game was done right and is successful before committing to monetized DLC.

Spore is scheduled for a September 7th, 2008 release date.
