Just a few minutes ago Robbie Bach, while speaking at the Microsoft keynote at CES in Las Vegas, said that the demo for Ensemble Studios' Halo Wars would hit the Xbox LIVE Marketplace on February 5th, 2009. The full game doesn't hit retail until February 28th, but that should give us all a bit of time to drool in anticipation. Aside from this, the keynote was fairly stale in relation to gaming-news. Hopefully they will announce something more exciting either at GDC or E3 this year.

Halo Wars is being developed by Ensemble Studios and is a real-time strategy game set in the early days of the Covenant-UNSC war in the Halo universe created by Bungie.
