Microsoft has announced that the Zune HD will be hitting store shelves sometimes this fall. Looks like Microsoft is readying the ultimate iPod Touch-killer, with the Zune HD not only utilizing the already-popular unlimited Zune Pass subscription program but also including the ability to play HD video (on an OLED screen) as well as tune into those new digital radio channels!
Also announced is that next week, during E3, Microsoft would be announcing a Zune-branded succesor to the Xbox LIVE Move and TV Marketplace. The idea being that content purchased from the new system would be compatible with multiple device types.
Of course, Microsoft has planned to increase this Zune's gaming capabilities as well, but there has been no official word on processor or graphics chipset.
