According to an article in Variety's The Cut Scene column, Atari is planning to release a very large MMO title based on their Neverwinter Nights franchise in 2011. This was the reason they were so interested in Cryptic Studios (again, according to the article). We would also like to believe that they were interested in Cryptic because of their two blockbuster MMO's in development (Star Trek Online and Champions Online).
