In a quarterly financial update released today, Take-Two has announced that it is pushing pack its highly-anticipated BioShock 2 to the 2010 fiscal year. This means that players won't be fighting the Big Sister in Rapture until sometime in 2010. Originally, BioShock 2 was due out in North America on November 3rd. The official reason for the push back is to give the game more development time.
Ben Feder, Take-Two CEO, stated:
'The decision to shift a release date is never an easy one, especially with a product as highly anticipated as BioShock 2. We felt that it was essential to invest the additional time to ensure that this title will deliver what its fans expect and deserve...'
