It looks like PS3 developers will get to play with 70MB of additional RAM now, thanks to a reduction in operating system size. SONY reduced the memory footprint of the OS as it did not need some of the proposed functionality built into it prior to the console's launch. It is unclear as to how much of a difference 70MB will make in future titles, only time will tell.
